Phaze, a startup founded in 2024 by Parsec creators Benjy Boxer and Chris Dickson, secured $8.75 million in a seed funding round. The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company, based in New York City, announced the funding on November 4, 2026.

The platform provides secure remote access to high-performance workstations, targeting graphics-intensive tasks such as 3D design, CAD, Blender, and Unreal Studio. It allows humans and AI agents to collaborate within the same session in real time, supporting model context protocol servers for background task automation.

The startup currently employs approximately ten people and began releasing beta versions in 2026. Phaze intends to use the capital to expand its engineering team, develop the product, and scale its customer base.

The service includes enterprise-grade IT controls, such as centralized management and audit logging. Phaze positions its solution as a cost-effective alternative to purchasing expensive hardware for every employee, noting that high-end workstation costs have tripled.
