Peitz Performance has introduced a manual transmission conversion for the Chevrolet C8 Corvette. The project utilizes a six-speed manual transaxle from Tremec, which was originally showcased at the SEMA Show and is capable of handling up to 1,000 pound-feet of torque and an 8,600 rpm redline.

The installation process involves replacing the factory eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with the Tremec TR9060 unit. The setup includes a modified clutch pedal sourced from a Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, a new flywheel, and a concentric slave cylinder. Integration is managed by MoTeC M182 and M150 control units.

The MoTeC system enables advanced powertrain features, including rolling anti-lag, adjustable traction control, and support for nitrous or methanol systems. It also handles data monitoring for gear position, clutch pedal status, and transmission fluid temperature, while facilitating precise downshift blips.

The conversion service is priced at $74,528. This cost covers the necessary hardware and software, but does not include the donor vehicle. For comparison, the base price for a 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray starts at $73,795 including delivery fees.
