The Ferrari 499P Modificata, a customer-spec version of the Le Mans-winning 499P, is heading to a Christie's auction next month. Experts estimate the vehicle could fetch more than $9 million, or over CHF 7.5 million. This specific unit, identified as chassis number 20, features a red exterior with white 88 roundels and Italian flag accents.

The car utilizes a Dallara chassis, a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, and a front-mounted electric motor. Unlike the racing version restricted to 680 horsepower, the Modificata delivers a combined 858 horsepower when the 161 horsepower Push to Pass system is active. Ferrari also implemented custom suspension, electronic controls, engine mapping, and bespoke Pirelli tires.

While Ferrari has not disclosed the total production volume, at least 30 units exist. The buyer will gain access to the Sport Prototipo Clienti program, which provides technical support and exclusive track days. The vehicle must remain stored and maintained at Ferrari's Maranello facilities until December 2028 before it can be transferred to a private collection.
