Oxide Computer Inc. has secured $445 million in a Series D funding round. The investment was led by Eclipse Capital, with participation from AMD Ventures, Riot Ventures, Jane Street, Atreides Management, and USIT.

The company manufactures pre-integrated data center racks containing 24 hardware modules, known as sleds. Each module supports AMD processors with up to 144 cores, 1.64 terabytes of memory, and 300 terabytes of flash storage.

Oxide utilizes custom chips, the Oxide Server Processor, to manage power, firmware, and thermal regulation. The rack architecture includes redundant storage mechanisms and specialized switches that reroute traffic in the event of component failure.

CEO Steve Tuck stated that the company has scaled manufacturing capacity by 20x over the past year to meet demand. The new capital will be used to further expand production capabilities and procure materials.

Future product developments include a new computing sled design capable of hosting graphics cards. Oxide indicated plans to collaborate with AMD on this initiative, following initial disclosures made in August.
