OpenTable reports that diners who book restaurants through AI-powered integrations spend on average 20% more than those using other channels. The platform currently integrates with Google Search, Maps, and Gemini, as well as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Amazon’s Alexa+ AI assistant.
The company’s AI Concierge tool now assists over 500 000 monthly active users globally. Additionally, the Table Automations feature saves operators an average of 4.5 hours per month by adjusting table minimums based on real-time demand. Turn Time and Availability Insights tools help operators reclaim 39 minutes of reservable time per shift.
Voice AI integrations have successfully booked 3 million diners during 2026, functioning outside of standard operating hours. These tools allow restaurants to manage bookings without requiring staff to leave the floor. The company continues to focus on applying automation to drive demand and increase revenue for its partners.
In August, OpenTable expanded its partnership with Square to integrate reservations, payments, and guest data management. This collaboration builds upon a point-of-sale partnership established in 2022. The integration enables deeper data sharing between the two platforms to provide operators with a comprehensive view of their guests.
Industry data from Deloitte in March indicates that approximately 70% of restaurant operators are currently using or piloting AI for loyalty programs and workflows. Research from July 2026 shows that 40% of frequent generative AI users employ the technology for daily planning, while 34% use it for shopping discovery and 27% for travel planning.
