OpenAI announced a series of updates at DevDay, including plugin extensions, shared workspaces, and automated workflows. The company introduced ChatGPT Space, a collaborative environment for teams featuring an AI assistant named Dot. This tool organizes files and projects, while the new Pages document type allows users to collaborate with AI agents on writing, diagrams, and data visualization.

The platform now integrates directly with Slack and Microsoft Teams, allowing users to interact with the AI via mentions without individual licenses. A new Meetings plugin for macOS generates summaries and action items, with audio data deleted immediately after processing. Additionally, the MCP Events Specification enables plugins to trigger automated tasks based on external app activity.

OpenAI introduced new pricing tiers, including the Pro 500 plan and a $200 subscription. The company aims to align flat-rate subscriptions with API pricing. Users can now utilize their ChatGPT accounts to sign into 16 partner services, such as Notion and Vercel. This initiative positions ChatGPT as an identity layer for a broader ecosystem of AI-powered tools.

For enterprise clients, OpenAI launched a marketplace featuring 32 partners, including Adobe, Salesforce, and Figma. Companies can allocate a portion of their existing OpenAI expenditure toward approved software within this ecosystem. These updates collectively expand ChatGPT beyond its original chatbot functionality, moving toward a comprehensive platform for team collaboration and automation.
