OpenAI is preparing a new premium subscription tier called ChatGPT Pro Max, according to findings in the web interface code. Engineer Tibor Blaho first identified references to the plan, while developer Dejan Velimirovic demonstrated the interface showing a monthly price of $500.

For European users, the subscription is listed at €515, which includes VAT. This new tier is positioned as the most advanced individual offering, providing access to flagship models, increased context memory, and maximum processing speeds for tasks in Work and Codex.

The Pro Max plan includes 100 GB of cloud storage for files and early access to new features. It is designed for developers, engineers, and researchers who utilize AI for long-term coding tasks and autonomous agents. The price point is 2.5 times higher than the current $200 ChatGPT Pro subscription.

To achieve higher speeds, OpenAI may utilize infrastructure from Cerebras, a company it already partners with for inference acceleration. Increased computational limits are intended to support scenarios where tools like Codex operate autonomously for several hours, addressing previous capacity issues.
