OpenAI has temporarily suspended new subscriptions for its $200 Pro 20X tier. Chief Product Officer Tibo announced the decision on X, citing the need to ensure a stable experience for existing users accessing GPT-6 Astra.
The company is currently prioritizing system capacity to maintain service quality. According to the official statement, this measure is intended to minimize disruption while the team works to expand server infrastructure as quickly as possible.
Current subscribers of the $200 plan and those using API services remain unaffected by this change. Users can still opt for the $100 Pro 5X subscription, which remains available for new sign-ups during this period.
