Micro Center has updated the status of Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards to not carried, indicating they are no longer part of the retailer's active inventory. While custom models from Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte remain on the website, they are listed as out of stock across all physical store locations.

The Asus GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Astral Edition 20 remains available at most stores, but only as part of an Asus ROG 20th Anniversary Bundle priced at nearly $11,000. Reports from a customer suggest that store staff began removing RTX 5090 units from shelves on October 9, one day before production halt rumors emerged.

Nvidia has not issued an official statement regarding the production status of the RTX 5090. The card remains listed on the company's official website with a starting price of $1,999. Speculation suggests that Nvidia may be reallocating GB202 silicon to its higher-margin professional product lines.

Professional products mentioned as potential recipients of the GB202 silicon include the RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell, RTX Pro 5500, and RTX Pro 5000. These professional-grade models offer significantly higher profit margins compared to the consumer-focused GeForce RTX 5090.
