OpenAI has initiated the global rollout of the GPT-6 Luna model for users on the ChatGPT Free and Go plans. This version is accessible directly within the chat interface and introduces Intelligent UI, a feature that allows the chatbot to generate interactive elements such as buttons, forms, and charts within responses.

Subscribers of Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans gained access to the GPT-6 Sol model a day earlier. Meanwhile, the top-tier GPT-6 Astra model remains restricted to professional use cases. The system automatically determines when to deploy interactive tools, such as calculators or diagrams, based on the specific task requested by the user.

A key technical improvement in the GPT-6 architecture is the ability to begin displaying output before the full computation is complete. The model can update responses in real-time as additional data or tool outputs become available. This functionality is integrated into the web version and updated mobile applications, while legacy desktop apps are not supported.

Users can manage the visual output via the Layout and visuals section in the settings, although full deactivation of interactive elements is not possible. OpenAI notes that usage of these features is subject to standard plan limits. The rollout of GPT-6 Luna is being conducted in phases, meaning availability may vary across different user accounts.
