Omen AI, founded in 2024, has acquired its competitor Aquatic Labs for $16 million in a cash-and-stock transaction. This move follows a $31 million Series A funding round secured by Omen AI in June.
The acquisition combines Omen AI’s water element sensors with Aquatic Labs’ alkalinity testing technology. The companies aim to integrate these capabilities into a single real-time sensor, with a market launch expected by early next year.
Allan Adams, former CEO of Aquatic Labs, has joined Omen AI as chief science officer. The combined team plans to monitor cooling systems for chips consuming 250 to 300 MW of power by the end of 2026, with a goal of reaching 1 GW of capacity by the end of 2027.
Real-time monitoring helps data center operators extend the lifespan of cooling fluids and avoid costly system shutdowns. By reducing the need for manual laboratory testing, the technology aims to improve operational efficiency in cooling infrastructure.
