According to the latest Counterpoint Research report, the high-end laptop display market, including OLED and MiniLED, is projected to grow by 11% in 2026. Conversely, the overall laptop display market is expected to decline by 3% due to rising storage and bill-of-materials costs.

OLED laptop panel shipments are forecast to surge by 50% in 2026 and by another 24% in 2027. This growth is driven by the anticipated adoption of OLED panels in Apple's next-generation MacBook Pro models and the rising demand for high-end AI PCs.

In contrast, MiniLED panel shipments are expected to drop by 38% in 2026 and by 60% in 2027 as manufacturers shift their focus toward OLED technology. Technical advancements such as Tandem OLED architecture, Visionox's ViP technology, and LG Display's FLiPP are improving manufacturing yields and efficiency.

The compound annual growth rate for OLED laptop panels is projected to reach 26% for shipments and 35% for revenue between 2024 and 2030. David Naranjo, Associate Director at Counterpoint Research, noted that the market expansion relies on balancing panel performance, manufacturing costs, and competitive pricing.
