Nvidia is reportedly planning to delay the release of its budget and mid-range graphics cards due to ongoing supply chain constraints. According to industry insider Kepler_L2, the launch of the GeForce RTX 6060 could be pushed back as far as 2029.

The company may prioritize high-end hardware, mirroring the rollout strategy of the RTX 50 series. In that cycle, Nvidia released the RTX 5080 and 5090 in January 2025, while the more affordable RTX 5060 did not reach the market until May of the same year.

Performance projections suggest the RTX 6060 will trail behind the graphics capabilities of the upcoming PlayStation 6. Sony is expected to launch the PS6 between late 2026 and early 2027, potentially giving the console a performance lead over Nvidia's mid-range cards for the first time.

Kepler_L2, who previously leaked details on AMD hardware and the PS5 Slim, notes that the extent of these supply chain impacts on the final RTX 60 series schedule remains uncertain. The market landscape could shift significantly if the 2029 release timeline holds.
