Nvidia introduced Halos for Robotics on June 22, 2026, at the Automate conference in Chicago. This safety platform, originally launched for autonomous vehicles on March 18, 2025, is now tailored for warehouse and humanoid robots to operate safely alongside humans.
The platform includes hardware components like the NVIDIA IGX Thor and Holoscan Sensor Bridge, alongside software such as Halos Core, Halos OS, and an open-source safety blueprint. Nvidia also established the Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab, which holds ANAB accreditation and collaborates with TÜV Rheinland and UL Solutions.
Agility Robotics is the inaugural partner, integrating Halos OS into its Digit humanoid robot. Planned deployments involve companies including Amazon, GXO, Schaeffler, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada.
Barclays analysts project that the humanoid robot market could reach $200 billion by 2035. Nvidia aims to leverage this growth by positioning its safety stack as a standard, potentially driving further adoption of its computing hardware.
