NVIDIA announced a partnership with its Australian cloud and AI infrastructure ecosystem on September 9. The initiative aims to secure land, power, and facility space required to deploy multi-generational AI factories.
The collaboration involves several partners, including Firmus, Sharon AI, IREN, ResetData, Megaport, CDC, NEXTDC, and AirTrunk. These companies plan to utilize the NVIDIA DSX architecture to build data centers with a total capacity of up to 2GW by 2027.
The NVIDIA DSX platform is designed to be compatible with the CUDA ecosystem. It allows for continuous software enhancements throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, aiming to improve productivity and durability, effectively positioning these facilities as a new asset class.
This partnership will support multiple generations of NVIDIA computing technology. It also expands local access to accelerated computing and the NVIDIA Nemotron open models, enabling Australian innovators to develop AI solutions domestically.
