Three key committees of the U.S. House of Representatives have summoned Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to a closed-door briefing. The chairs of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Select Committee on the CCP, and the Intelligence Committee issued a joint letter on November 5.

The congressional inquiry focuses on Nvidia's export compliance and internal security protocols. Lawmakers specifically requested information regarding Huang's interactions with Huang Le, a former executive at the Singaporean data center firm Megaspeed, and details on how the company prevents technology leaks.

The summons follows concerns from U.S. intelligence agencies regarding Megaspeed and potential efforts to circumvent export restrictions to acquire advanced AI chips. The committees have set a deadline of November 11 for Huang to confirm his attendance at the briefing scheduled for November 18.

Jensen Huang has previously addressed these allegations, stating that his interactions with clients are standard business practice. Nvidia also conducted an internal audit of GPUs delivered to the firm and confirmed that no chips were illegally diverted.
