UK-based startup Nous has secured $17 million in a new funding round. The investment was led by Heartcore Capital and existing seed investor Mosaic Ventures. Additional participants included Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners, and Bain Future Back Ventures, alongside several angel investors from companies like Monzo, GoCardless, and Onfido.

Founded by Greg Marsh, the company provides an AI agent that automates household administrative tasks and manages recurring expenses. The platform identifies cost-saving opportunities, handles subscription cancellations, and manages family calendars. It combines large language models with rules-based logic to execute decisions on behalf of users.

The startup is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, which enables it to support regulated activities such as insurance purchases. Nous maintains a business model that excludes revenue from advertising or the sale of customer data to ensure user trust.

The newly raised capital will support the company's international expansion and the development of new features. Nous intends to broaden its services into additional household spending categories and expand its portfolio of regulated financial products.
