Stockholm-based startup Strawberry has officially launched its AI-integrated browser, exiting a year-long beta phase. The company, which employs a team of 12, aims to provide enterprise alternatives to platforms like ChatGPT and Claude by enabling non-technical staff to build custom AI agents for tasks such as sales, marketing, and recruiting.
The browser operates on an AI-model-agnostic basis and allows agents to run directly on a user's device, a feature the company highlights as a response to European data sovereignty requirements. Unlike server-based AI platforms, Strawberry agents store team context, workflows, and login information locally, allowing them to learn and adapt to specific business environments over time.
The company currently offers a free tier alongside subscription plans priced at $20, $85, and $250 per month, with costs varying based on credit usage. Early enterprise adopters include Tandem Health and the Swedish startup Lovable, which utilizes the browser for engineering recruitment.
Founded in 2023 by Charles Maddock, Sebastian Thunman, and Arian Hanifi, the startup previously secured $6 million in funding. The October 2025 round was led by General Catalyst and EQT Ventures, with additional backing from the founders of Lovable, Supabase, and Hugging Face. CEO Charles Maddock stated that a Series A round is planned for future expansion across Europe and the US.
