Nissan is reviving the Pixo nameplate for a new city-focused electric vehicle. The model is built on the same platform as the Renault Twingo and the second-generation Dacia Spring, with production taking place at the Renault plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
The vehicle features a 27.5-kWh LFP battery providing a range of 161 miles or 259 kilometers under the WLTP cycle. It supports DC charging at 50 kW, allowing a charge from 15 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes, and includes 11 kW bidirectional charging capabilities.
The Pixo is powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 80 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque, achieving a 0-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 12.1 seconds. The car measures 3,796 millimeters in length and offers 356 liters of cargo space, expanding to 1,221 liters with seats folded.
Deliveries in Europe are scheduled to begin early next year. While official pricing will be announced in December, the base model is expected to cost less than €20 000. The car will compete with the Citroen 2CV and the upcoming Volkswagen ID.Every1 production model.
