The ES9, which launched in China on May 27, 2026, carries a starting price of ¥498,000. In August, Nio delivered 6,479 units of the model. Combined with the ES8, these large electric SUVs accounted for 82.55 percent of the brand's total deliveries for that month.

The vehicle features a 900-volt architecture and supports battery swapping technology. Measuring 5,365 mm in length with a 3,250 mm wheelbase, the 6-seat SUV is now being delivered in new markets, including Macau, where the first Nio House opened on September 2, 2026.
