Nio is set to reach a cumulative total of 150,000 deliveries for its third-generation ES8 electric SUV this week. This milestone arrives nearly one year after the model first went on sale in China on September 20, 2025, with initial deliveries commencing the following day.
The company reported 140,000 cumulative deliveries of the ES8 as of August 21, 2026, during the Chengdu Auto Show. This indicates that the most recent 10,000 units were delivered in approximately one month. Yang Bo, head of user operations at Nio, confirmed the upcoming achievement via a social media post.
The ES8 remains a core component of Nio's sales performance. In the first eight months of 2026, the model accounted for 62.21% of the main Nio brand's total deliveries and 38.02% of Nio Inc's overall volume. Total deliveries for the ES8 reached 99,948 units during this period.
Nio expanded the ES8 lineup on July 9, 2026, by introducing a five-seat version alongside the existing six- and seven-seat configurations. The five-seat variant launched at a starting price of ¥382,800, or ¥274,800 under the battery-as-a-service model, which is 5.9% lower than the three-row version.
