A technician known as Modyfikatorcasper has disassembled the revised Nintendo Switch 2 console currently appearing in Europe. The device retains the same Innolux-based LCD panel as the original model, identified as LS079T1SX10P, rather than the anticipated Sharp display.

The primary design modification focuses on repairability. The battery is now easier to replace as it no longer requires removing adhesive. This adjustment aligns with European Union battery regulations scheduled to take effect in mid-February 2027.

Internal components have undergone several changes. The console now features a revised motherboard, specifically model OSM-CPU-01, replacing the previous BEE-CPU-01. Additionally, the cooling fan is a different variant, and the 12 GB of RAM is sourced from a new supplier.

The NVIDIA chip remains identical to the previous version. According to official specifications, the battery capacity is now 5,172 mAh, a slight decrease from the original 5,220 mAh. The console weight has increased by approximately 10 grams, though Nintendo reports no functional differences.
