Nextbi has introduced a new approach to utilizing digital twins, aimed at transforming fragmented enterprise data into actionable management decisions. The methodology relies on a virtual operating model that integrates data from accounting, financial, production, and warehouse systems.

The system combines process mining with BPMN 2.0 modeling. Process mining reconstructs actual workflows and identifies inefficiencies, while BPMN 2.0 allows for the simulation of various scenarios. This enables companies to compare current configurations with alternatives and assess impacts on KPIs like resource utilization and operational costs.

The approach links operational changes to financial outcomes by connecting parameters to P&L calculations. It accounts for variables such as raw material availability, inventory levels, and capital expenditure requirements. The model operates within a unified management loop that tracks risks, KPIs, and actual results to refine future planning.

According to Natalia Rudik, Product Director for ERM and BPM at Nextbi, the digital twin serves as a management core. It allows enterprises to evaluate the consequences of decisions before implementation by considering operational limits and constraints, ensuring a direct link between business processes and financial performance.
