MTS has expanded its fixed network infrastructure in the Oktyabrsky district of Tambov. The company installed new telecommunications equipment to provide gigabit internet access to residents of the Vernadsky residential complex.
The network upgrade covers 14 apartment buildings located on Nauchnaya and Akademicheskaya streets. According to the company, this expansion provides approximately 3,000 residents with access to high-speed digital services.
Alexey Senkevich, director of MTS in the Tambov region, stated that the project utilized domestically produced equipment and included the installation of a backup communication loop. The total number of Tambov residents with access to speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s has reached 35,000.
The company has been actively expanding its gigabit network in the region. In the summer of 2026, the service was extended to 7,000 residents in the Olimpiysky microdistrict. Throughout 2025, MTS deployed high-speed networks across various new developments, including streets such as Michurinskaya, Zhogoleva, and others.
