MTS has launched a 4G network in the village of Komarovo, located in the Pavlovsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The new infrastructure provides high-speed mobile internet and voice services to more than 500 local residents and tourists visiting the area.

The network coverage extends across the entire village, including residential areas and key public facilities such as the local school, medical center, administration building, library, and shops. Connectivity is also available at local landmarks, including the House of Culture, the Barsky Pond, and the historic linden alley.

The deployment supports the village's tourism, specifically the 'Mosquito in Uniform' monument, an industrial-punk sculpture installed in 2018. Stable 4G access allows visitors to use online maps and share photos on social media, promoting the region to a wider audience.

According to Sergey Vorozhtsov, technical director of MTS in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the company plans to continue expanding its 4G network in rural and remote areas of the region throughout 2026 and 2027, targeting dozens of additional small settlements.
