MTS has expanded its high-speed home internet network in Irkutsk, providing access to speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s for approximately 2,000 additional families. The expansion covers residential complexes in the Botanika microdistrict and the Novy residential area.
The infrastructure upgrade includes all 15 buildings within the Botanika complex in the Markova settlement. Additionally, several apartment buildings in the Novy complex, located in the Oktyabrsky district of Irkutsk, have been connected to the provider's network.
According to Konstantin Zimin, director of MTS in the Irkutsk region, the company previously upgraded the mobile network in the Botanika area. The new gigabit home internet service is designed to support multiple simultaneous connections for remote work, online education, and smart home systems.
