MTS has launched 5G services in the Ivanovo region, utilizing the 2100 MHz LTE frequency band. The deployment covers several urban locations in Ivanovo, including the Revolution Square, the central embankment near the Serebryany Gorod shopping center, the Fire and Rescue Academy, and the TETS-3 residential district.

The network is also active in the suburb of Kokhma, specifically near the Palace of Culture and the local industrial zone. This rollout follows the principle of technological neutrality, which allows operators to use existing frequency resources for both 4G and 5G networks simultaneously without building new infrastructure.

According to the State Commission for Radio Frequencies, operators are permitted to deploy 5G on existing 4G frequencies and hardware. The company plans to expand coverage based on current infrastructure capabilities. A transition to domestic base stations is scheduled to begin in 2027 and conclude by the end of 2031.
