Mozilla is testing a new AI feature called Smart Window for the Firefox browser. The tool operates as a sidebar and is designed to analyze web page content to automatically fill out online forms, reducing repetitive manual input.

During demonstrations, the AI interacts with users via natural language to complete tasks such as job applications, service bookings, or registrations. It extracts data from documents like resumes and populates fields with details including names, contact information, and work history.

The system provides a review step before submission, allowing users to verify or edit the information. Unlike standard AI chatbots focused on search, Smart Window is built to interact directly with web elements to perform specific actions.

Privacy remains a core focus for Mozilla. The company stated that users maintain control over the data the AI accesses and decides which information is used for tasks. The feature adheres to Firefox's existing privacy standards.

Smart Window is currently in the testing phase. Mozilla has not yet announced a release date for the general public, but the development marks the company's effort to transition the browser into an intelligent agent platform.
