Mozilla has updated its Smart Window browser feature to include automated form filling. The tool extracts data from open tabs, such as LinkedIn profiles or portfolios, to populate text fields in web forms. Users can trigger this by clicking on a form with at least four fields and selecting the Fill from sources option to manage which tabs the browser accesses.

The system utilizes Google Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite to generate text suggestions. While currently limited to text fields, Mozilla plans to expand functionality to include dropdown menus and PDF documents in future updates.

Additionally, Smart Window now offers a webpage monitoring tool. By typing /watch in the chat, users can track specific content like job listings or sales. The browser checks for updates daily or weekly, provided the application remains open.

Notifications arrive via the toolbar or desktop alerts. The monitoring process pauses after 60 days of inactivity and ceases entirely after 90 days. These features are currently in beta for desktop users in the US and Canada, with a global rollout expected in the coming months.
