Montage Technology has officially launched mass production of its fifth-generation DDR5 Register Clock Driver (RCD05) chip. This component is designed for high-performance DDR5 RDIMM memory modules, specifically targeting the requirements of data centers and AI server infrastructure.
The new RCD05 chip adheres to the JEDEC DDR5RCD05 standard and supports data transfer rates of 8,000 MT/s. This performance represents an approximate 11% increase compared to the previous RCD04 generation, providing additional bandwidth for upcoming server platforms.
The chip integrates a high-performance, low-jitter PLL clock driver circuit. It also includes support for key features such as Continuous Time Linear Equalization (CTLE) and ZQ calibration, which are intended to enhance signal integrity and stability during high-speed data transmission.
Beyond the RCD05, Montage Technology maintains a broad portfolio of memory interface products. This includes various DDR5 RCD chips, as well as MRCD, MDB, CKD, SPD, PMIC, and TS components, offering comprehensive solutions for both server and client memory modules.
