Microsoft is preparing to release the second generation of its Surface Mouse on October 13th. The device features haptic feedback, which provides physical responses for actions like clicking, dragging, or aligning objects within Windows 11. This technology is also compatible with specific applications, including PowerPoint, Affinity, Concepts, and Filmora.

The updated mouse introduces a customizable action button. While it is configured by default for quick access to Copilot, users can remap it to other shortcuts via the Surface app. The design has been refreshed to improve comfort for extended use, incorporating soft-touch materials on the top surface.

Connectivity has been upgraded with Bluetooth 6.0 support, allowing the mouse to pair with up to three devices simultaneously. The product will be available in black and platinum color options at a price of $79.99. The launch coincides with the release of the refreshed 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface Laptop.
