Microsoft is preparing a new pricing strategy to increase the adoption of its Copilot AI among corporate clients. The company has instructed its sales teams to offer discounts ranging from 30% to 50% on subscriptions, with the new terms expected to take effect as early as October.
The discount structure is tied to the volume of seats purchased. Organizations acquiring at least 1,000 seats will be eligible for a 30% discount. For larger enterprises purchasing 10,000 seats or more, the price reduction could reach up to 50%.
Beyond pricing, Microsoft plans to transform Copilot into a comprehensive super-app. This update will integrate AI-powered programming tools and intelligent agent capabilities similar to OpenClaw, moving beyond simple content generation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
The new super-app is designed to function as an automation platform. It will be capable of executing multi-step tasks, invoking external tools, and assisting in software development, allowing AI to be embedded directly into existing end-to-end corporate workflows.
