London-based Metris Energy has secured €4.35 million in a funding round led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU, and Blackfinch Ventures. Additional investment came from Plug and Play and Love Ventures. This latest injection brings the company's total funding to €6.53 million, following a €2.3 million pre-Seed round in January 2024.

Founded in 2025 by Natasha Jones and William Whatley, the startup provides an AI-native operating system for renewable energy asset management. The platform aggregates data from inverters, meters, SCADA systems, and financial tools to provide a unified view of asset performance and revenue. It currently supports over 10,000 solar plants with a total capacity of 500MW.

The company reports 8x year-over-year revenue growth. The new capital will be used to enhance the platform's agentic capabilities and expand its reach into wind and Combined Heat and Power systems. Metris is also scaling its operations across Europe, with a specific focus on the German market where it has already onboarded several new customers.

Metris aims to address the fragmentation of data in the energy sector, where many producers still rely on spreadsheets despite a global market worth €4.35 trillion. By building an intelligent system of record, the company enables automated workflows and natural-language querying, helping operators manage assets more efficiently and access new revenue streams.
