A recent claim circulating on X suggested that Meta acquired the New York-based AI startup Conductor. However, no credible sources have confirmed this transaction, and the company continues to operate independently.

The report regarding Conductor lacks essential details, including a purchase price, a closing date, or any official statements from the involved parties. Conductor remains focused on its SEO and AEO software business, recently launching the Enterprise AgentStack in 2026.

In contrast, Meta officially confirmed the acquisition of the Singapore-based AI agent developer Manus on December 30, 2025. The deal was valued at more than $2 billion.

Meta intends to utilize the technology from the Manus acquisition to enhance its autonomous AI integrations, specifically targeting its WhatsApp business tools. Conductor, meanwhile, continues to expand its own operations, having added over 50 enterprise clients in Q3 2025.
