Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia are expanding their strategic partnership to focus on the development of next-generation driver assistance systems. This collaboration integrates the automotive engineering and safety expertise of Mercedes-Benz with the MB.OS operating system and Nvidia's accelerated computing and AI technologies.

The MB.OS system is designed to support new driving features and over-the-air updates, operating in tandem with the Nvidia Hyperion computing and sensor architecture. The Nvidia Alpamayo stack provides full-stack AI inference capabilities, enabling urban point-to-point driving, active safety, and automated parking functions.

Nvidia Halos technology enhances the safety framework of Mercedes-Benz by providing redundant safety stacks. These combined technologies are intended to support advanced driver assistance systems and the development of future SAE Level 4 autonomous driving applications, including luxury sedans.

Beyond driver assistance, Mercedes-Benz is utilizing Nvidia technology for automotive engineering simulations and its MO360 digital production ecosystem. The application covers virtual planning and AI-driven processes, aimed at improving the efficiency, flexibility, and quality of the company's global production network.
