Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving division is reportedly developing a new autonomous driving solution. This upcoming system is positioned to be more affordable than the current ADS Pro version, yet it will offer more advanced capabilities than the entry-level SE variant.
The existing Huawei Qiankun lineup consists of four tiers: the entry-level ADS SE, the mid-range ADS Pro, the high-end ADS Max, and the flagship ADS Ultra. These versions cater to different vehicle segments, ranging from economy models to luxury flagships with L3 highway capabilities.
In April, Huawei introduced the ADS 5 system, which features the WEWA 2.0 AI architecture. This update utilizes cloud-based multi-agent game theory and reinforcement learning, alongside a vehicle-side Driving Agent module for real-time safety assessments and strategy optimization.
Regarding pricing, Huawei previously set the standard cost for the ADS Max high-end feature package at ¥36 000. While promotional offers have expired, manufacturers continue to provide localized discounts, such as monthly subscription rates of ¥6 000 for Pro and ¥15 000 for Max to Ultra tiers.
