Huawei's Yinwang unit has entered into a strategic partnership with CATL and its subsidiary Contemporary Amperex Energy Service (CAES). The collaboration focuses on developing a comprehensive intelligent battery-swapping ecosystem integrated with Huawei's Qiankun smart driving solutions.

According to reports, the companies are currently developing five new vehicle models under this partnership. These models are scheduled for market release in 2027. While Yinwang confirmed the core objectives of the agreement, the company did not provide specific comments on the development timeline or model count.

The first vehicle to feature the CATL 'chocolate' battery-swapping technology will be launched under the Yijing brand. Yijing is a joint automotive brand established through a partnership between Dongfeng Motor and Huawei.
