MegaFon has deployed additional telecommunications equipment in the Medvedevsky district of the Mari El Republic. The infrastructure upgrade provides 4G coverage to the village of Zeleny, the Druzhba gardening community, and a segment of the R-177 Povetluzhye federal highway.
The new equipment supports medium and high LTE frequency bands to handle increased network traffic. This configuration allows for data download speeds of up to 120 Mbps. According to the operator, mobile traffic in the area has increased by 15% over the past year.
The project aims to accommodate both seasonal residents and families living in the area year-round. Previously, MegaFon engineers expanded LTE coverage in more than 40 other settlements across several districts of the republic, including Zvenigovsky, Sovetsky, and Volzhsky.
