Large companies do not need to migrate their email, telephony, video conferencing, or messenger services into a single system to implement artificial intelligence. This was stated by Evgeny Nefediev, Director of Automated Workplaces at MegaFon, during the Digital Solutions forum in Moscow.
Nefediev suggests building a unified intelligent layer over existing systems rather than restructuring the entire IT architecture. He argues that businesses should focus on unifying the understanding of communications across different platforms, such as chat messages, calls, and meetings, rather than unifying the communication tools themselves.
The proposed intelligent layer must maintain existing access rights and adhere to the Privacy by Design principle. This approach ensures that the integration of AI does not expand employee access to corporate data, keeping security protocols consistent with the original systems.
