MegaFon has expanded its network coverage in the Kurgan region by installing new telecommunications equipment in the village of Kropani. This infrastructure upgrade provides approximately 600 local residents with stable voice services and high-speed mobile internet access. The village is situated 20 kilometers from the regional center.
Engineers deployed equipment operating across multiple frequency bands to ensure both wide coverage and high data speeds. This allows users to utilize cloud services, email, and high-quality video streaming. According to the operator, network traffic analysis shows a 20% increase in data usage during weekends, while voice call activity peaks on Wednesdays.
The company continues to develop its regional network infrastructure. Prior to the project in Kropani, MegaFon expanded its coverage area in the Vargashinsky, Safakulevsky, and Shchuchansky districts of the Kurgan region. Gennady Zhukov, Director of MegaFon in the Kurgan region, stated that these efforts aim to integrate rural areas into the digital space.
