MegaFon has upgraded its network infrastructure in the eastern part of Gavrilov-Yam, a town with a population of several thousand. Following the installation of new equipment, data transmission speeds in the area have reached 45 Mbps.
The operator reports a 15% increase in internet traffic consumption in the city since the beginning of autumn compared to the same period last year. The modernization involved the use of high-frequency and low-frequency LTE bands to improve signal penetration inside buildings.
Throughout the current year, MegaFon has modernized approximately 30 telecommunications facilities across the Yaroslavl region. These upgrades have improved internet and voice service quality in Yaroslavl, Rybinsk, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Tutayev, and several rural districts.
