MegaFon has expanded its 4G network infrastructure in the village of Lamberg, located in the Sortavala district of the Republic of Karelia. The upgrade provides residents and tourists at nearby recreational facilities with LTE coverage, enabling internet speeds of up to 40 Mbps.
The new equipment also supports VoLTE technology, which improves voice call quality by reducing latency and background noise. Users can now maintain stable data connections, such as downloading files or using navigation apps, while simultaneously conducting voice calls.
This project is part of a broader network development strategy in the region. Previously, MegaFon enhanced connectivity in Ruskeala Mountain Park and the suburban settlements of Hyumpelya, Helyulya, and Tuokslahti. The company continues to focus on improving coverage near the Tokkarlahti Bay area.
