MegaFon has completed the first testing phase of the Wewins C150 5G router. The device was adapted for Russian network standards by SoftMaster, which involved adjusting radio frequency parameters and localizing the interface into Russian.
During the testing process, engineers verified the device's data transmission speeds, carrier aggregation performance, and support for various 5G bands. The router demonstrated stable connectivity while switching between different network technologies.
The Wewins C150 functions as a gateway, receiving 5G signals from base stations and distributing internet access to home devices via Wi-Fi or wired connections. This allows equipment without native 5G support to utilize the network.
MegaFon has shared the test results with SoftMaster to assist in further product refinement. SoftMaster representatives stated that the company is preparing to supply the Russian market with 5G-ready hardware as network infrastructure develops.
