MegaFon has upgraded its telecommunications infrastructure along the M-4 Don highway in the Krasnodar region. The improvements focus on the area around Goryachy Klyuch, where engineers have optimized network facilities to enhance connectivity for both travelers and local residents.
In the village of Pyatigorskaya, the company expanded its coverage and signal penetration by adding low-frequency spectrum. This location is a key transit point for motorists heading to Krasnodar or the coast, as well as a destination for tourists visiting the surrounding natural areas.
The operator also activated higher frequency bands in the village of Imeretinskaya. This upgrade increased the network capacity, allowing a larger number of devices to connect and download data simultaneously. Users on the M-4 highway can now reach speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s.
According to Andrey Kholodov, director of MegaFon in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea, the company tailors its network development to specific local usage patterns. The strategy balances coverage and capacity to meet high demand from drivers and tourists.
Data from the operator indicates that the average monthly mobile traffic per user in Goryachy Klyuch and its surroundings is approximately 35 GB. This volume is sufficient for downloading about 25 Full HD movies for offline viewing during travel.
