The Maeving RM2 is an electric motorcycle from a UK-based company founded in 2018. The bike features a 15-horsepower electric hub motor integrated into the rear wheel, providing 193 pound-feet of torque. While officially rated for speeds up to 70 mph, real-world testing showed it struggles to maintain higher speeds.
The motorcycle is powered by two removable 2.73-kilowatt-hour battery packs, each weighing 36 pounds. The official range is 80 miles, though testing in Sport mode yielded approximately 50 miles per charge. Charging the bike to 80 percent capacity takes four hours using the standard proprietary charger.
The base price for the RM2 starts at $10 995. The tested configuration, which included upgraded suspension, matte paint, and carbon fiber fenders, reached a total price of $13 275. An optional adapter for SAE J1772 charging stations is available for an additional $440.
The vehicle weighs 320 pounds and has a seat height of 30.5 inches. It features a locking storage compartment located where a traditional fuel tank would be. The company also offers the RM1S and a Blackout edition, which share the same underlying drivetrain and battery technology as the RM2.
