Belgian software startup Logibot has secured €1.4 million in a funding round led by BeamBerlin, the startup studio of the German BEUMER Group. Other participants in the round included RDY Ventures, PMV, and the BAN Business Angels network. The company plans to use the capital to deploy its first robots at client sites and assemble a second unit in Zellik, Belgium.
Logibot provides an AI-driven software platform that integrates with various hardware robots used in logistics. The system allows companies to select and manage approximately 95 per cent of the hardware currently available on the market. The platform handles the entire process, including flow analysis, digital twin validation, robot training, and remote monitoring.
The startup aims to function as a temporary agency for robots, allowing logistics firms to avoid long-term contracts with single suppliers. According to CEO Louis Verspreeuwen, the platform addresses common industry challenges such as high turnover and the need for predictable costs. The software remains functional even if a specific hardware manufacturer ceases operations.
The Logibot team currently consists of seven employees. CEO Louis Verspreeuwen has 12 years of experience in international trade and logistics. CTO and co-founder Salimzhan Gafurov holds two PhDs in robotics and AI, having previously led a team of 110 engineers at a major e-commerce company. The startup's early client base includes large logistics providers and a major postal group in the Nordics.
