LG CNS, the IT-services division of LG Group, has entered a partnership with Chainlink to build digital asset infrastructure for South Korean financial institutions. The collaboration focuses on developing systems for stablecoins, tokenized securities, and cross-chain interoperability.
As part of the agreement, LG CNS will integrate Chainlink’s oracle and cross-chain technology into its digital asset platforms. The companies aim to facilitate the adoption of local stablecoins among a target base of over 11 million eligible users in South Korea.
The initiative supports the broader growth of the South Korean digital asset market, which saw its crypto economy expand by approximately 12% to $449 billion between July 2025 and June 2026. LG CNS, which has been active in blockchain infrastructure since 2015, recently launched its KITL institutional platform.
LG CNS currently serves as the lead contractor for Project Hangang, a Bank of Korea project centered on digital currency systems. Additionally, the company is collaborating with the Canton Foundation to promote the adoption of the Canton Network among local banks.
