SharpLink, a company listed on Nasdaq, has deployed $400 million worth of ETH into onchain staking protocols. The assets remain under the qualified custody of Anchorage Digital Bank, which is the first federally chartered crypto bank in the United States.

The company split the investment equally between two platforms. It allocated $200 million to ether.fi to mint weETH tokens and $200 million to Lido to generate wstETH. This marks the first instance of a public company utilizing liquid restaking tokens while maintaining qualified custody.

SharpLink currently holds approximately 900,000 ETH in its treasury. The firm has already generated tens of millions of dollars in staking rewards without purchasing additional assets. These actions follow previous commitments to staking strategies announced in 2025 and 2026.

The firm acknowledges inherent risks associated with these strategies, including potential smart contract vulnerabilities, protocol failures, and market fluctuations in liquid staking tokens. Anchorage Digital Bank provides the necessary infrastructure to meet the compliance and reporting standards required for public companies.
