Lexus has launched a helicopter charter service under the Lexus Flight project, marking its expansion into aerial transportation. The service is currently available exclusively in Japan and aims to provide a premium, brand-consistent travel experience for its customers.
The fleet utilizes the Leonardo AW169 helicopter, which has been customized with a bespoke interior reflecting Lexus design language. The cabin features a face-to-face seating arrangement for up to five passengers, advanced soundproofing, ambient lighting, climate control, and an integrated entertainment system with tablet controls.
Operational support is provided by Aero Toyota Corp. The aircraft includes Wi-Fi connectivity and external cameras for real-time landscape viewing. While pricing has not been officially disclosed, industry estimates suggest potential hourly rates of $6,000 for international markets.
This initiative complements the brand's existing land-based vehicle lineup and its maritime business, which began in 2019 with the LY680 yacht. Lexus intends to integrate these services into a broader ecosystem that includes future residential and mobility concepts.
