The Leningrad Region Committee for General and Vocational Education has signed a cooperation agreement with JSC R7. Under this deal, the region will receive 96,980 free software licenses for the R7-Office platform.

The provided licenses are valid for one year, with the option for subsequent perpetual use. Educational institutions, including secondary and preschool organizations, are eligible to access the software.

R7-Office is a Russian suite for collaboration and communication that includes document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors, as well as email, messaging, and task management tools. The software is listed in the Ministry of Digital Development's registry of domestic software.

Students and teachers are permitted to use the software both in classrooms and at home for academic tasks. According to Governor Alexander Drozdenko, this initiative aligns with the national project Data Economy and aims to establish a technologically independent environment.
